How To Join

We use what we call "The RSVP System" to organize our games. It's a system where the members of the TSHA sign up to play, and everyone is informed when the game is confirmed on, or if it's cancelled, and what the start time is. If you want to play with us, you need to be a part of this system. It's really very simple to be a part of it. Just do two things:

1. Read the description here on this page of exactly how the system works, so you know what you're getting into and how to participate.

2. Sign up using the link at the bottom of this page.

That's all there is to it. Before signing up, you may also want to read our privacy policy .

Here's exactly how the RVSP System works:

1. Every Monday an email will be sent out with news related to the TSHA, and a request that you reply to tell us if you intend to come the following Sunday. If you intend to bring some people, write it in that email. That email is usually just scanned to see how many people are coming, and not read in detail. If you want to contact the TSHA about anything else, you should use the contact page of this site.

2. The responses will be counted and a confirmation email will be sent on Friday. If there are eight or more people, then that means a game will be on the following Sunday. The names of those who said they will play will be included in the email as well as the starting time. Please note that the confirmation email may be sent out earlier in the week if enough people sign up early. It may also be sent out later if circumstances prevent it from being on time. But the intention is to get the confirmation email out in time for people to be able to plan their weekend before it starts.

3. if we don't get at least 8 people, then the game will be called off and an email is sent out to let everyone know. If, for whatever reason, you do not get a confirmation mail, you can assume the game is off.

That's the basics of how it works. Two more details are worth mentioning:

If you do not intend to come, then do not email to say so. Sometimes people write in to say "I won't be there". Your intention to keep us informed is appreciated, but because we are trying to set up a system that is as automatic as possible, it would work a whole lot better if you only wrote in when you intended to come. So thanks for trying to be helpful, but only email when you want to play.

If you did not sign up, you can still come play. It's perfectly fine to make the decision to play after the game has been called on. However, if everyone waited for everyone else to sign up before deciding to play, then obviously we would never play. So if you know you intend to come down, please sign up so we can get a game going. But if for whatever reason you aren't sure until after the game has been called on, then you're still welcome to play.

Be Sure Our Emails Don't End Up In Your Junk Mail Folder. Nine times out of ten, when someone signs up and they aren't seeing our emails, it's because their spam mail filter catches our mails. If you've signed up and you don't seem to be getting our mail, make sure it's not just that your spam filters are stopping us from getting through. Especially if you are using Hotmail. Hotmail sucks so hard.

All emails that come from us will have [TSHA] in the subject line. So that might help you mark our emails as acceptable to your spam filter if need be.

Got all that? Great! Then sign on up and come down to play!
